Desert Explosion
Personal project. My learn goals were more VFX oriented this time. Created in Houdini, rendered with Maxon Redshift, comped in Foundry Nuke. I have been working more on VFX shots lately. So I tried to learn a bit more about simulations and destruction in Houdini with this project. I also tried to learn more about some of the less obvious details that go in to shots like deep rendering, rigging the truck, cameras, the HUD design, bringing data from Houdini to Nuke for the HUD, etc. The vehicle models are from https://www.bigmediumsmall.com/ The building models I bought from https://www.cgtrader.com Rocks and plants are Quixel assets.
